The initial phase will include a welcome dock (front desk, lobby, etc.), a restaurant pavilion and 16 bungalows. All structures will be on stilts. Additional rooms and amenities will eventually be added as the project progresses. On a later part of development, a marine sanctuary will also be made within the area.

Abana Island Resort, owned and developed by Avino Land and Property Development, Inc., an affiliate of the developers of Cebu White Sands Resort and Spa, is scheduled to open in the summer of 2014.
